WEMBLEY WINNERS: Mark Arber and Jon Nurse
WEMBLEY WINNERS: Mark Arber and Jon Nurse
Post reporter Mike Simmonds takes a look at the Wembley heroes who have taken Daggers into League One after a play-off final win over Rotherham United.

Tony Roberts

Finally got to display his dance moves at the home of football and his keeping wasn't bad either, punching everything clear in those last moments.

Abu Ogogo

Who would have imagined that after seeing red at Macclesfield back in October the former Arsenal man would be a promotion winner?

Damien McCrory

Proved he made the right decision by turning down Grimsby to move to Daggers from Plymouth and now a return to Home Park awaits.

Mark Arber

Deservedly Daggers' player of the season and the captain deserves another crack at League One after leading the team to play-off glory.

Scott Doe

It's been some season for Doe. Looked out of place at right back early on, but boy has he shown just how good he can be in the centre of defence.

Danny Green

Wembley typified Green's amazing breakout season. Had the confidence to shoot and score, while terrorising the Millers' defence.

Peter Gain

A play-off final winner at the third time of asking, there was no way he was coming off injured. Has used all of his experience throughout the season.

Romain Vincelot

What an impact the Frenchman has had since being thrust into the team. His spectacular overhead volley will live long in the memory.

Jon Nurse

Scored the first and last goal of Daggers' season and has made a habit of popping up at the most important of times. Will never forget his Wembley day out.

Paul Benson

Showed all his goalscoring prowess to give Daggers the lead and took to the big stage with ease, pulling Rotherham all over the place.

Josh Scott

More than played his part with four goals in the play-off semi-final. Has come quite a way since joining from Hayes & Yeading in the summer.

Substitutes

Graeme Montgomery (for Nurse 72)

Already earned his place in the hearts of Daggers fans with his two stoppage time winners.

Phil Walsh (for Scott 83)

Was playing for Dorchester a few months ago, now a Wembley winner.
