NEW arrivals down at the POST's favourite farm are hopping mad.
Old MacDonald's Farm has just welcomed three American bullfrogs from the Florida Everglades to perform in an animated show that educates visitors about life in the swamps of the deep south.
The new show is the first of its kind in Britain and as well as being educational, it is packed full of jokes.
Joseph manning, who owns the Brentwood farm, said: "I could sound all worthy and say I brought this show because it was educational and part of our environmental project, but the truth is they really make me laugh.
"Kids love them, and there are jokes that the parents will understand too."
Over the summer holidays an average of 80 families a week from Barking and Dagenham have been visiting the farm and taking advantage of our money saving vouchers.
At the farm staff, customers and animals are growing greener since taking on new environmental targets in April.
Recycling, reusing and reducing practices are well underway as part of their three-year plan.
Farm owner Joseph Manning said: "First we wanted to reduce power, so have adapted our fairground rides, and we also brought in two electric buggies for staff and turned to recycling with new bins.
"We recycle 20 per cent of our waste, and share animals, such as Meercats, with other parks. Also we take outdated produce from local supermarkets means the farm also helps the wider community to become more sustainable.
Mr Manning explained: "Water is the lifeblood of the farm but we need to ensure we gather and use it effectively.
