TWO first half goals for Bardag under-16s proved enough as they defeated Newbury Forest to reach the quarter-finals of the Harry Barker Cup.
Steven Lutanki and Daniel Alaka rippled the net in the opening half for the home side.
After the break the visitors came out with all guns blazing, but Bardag withstood the storm to win the match.
An imperious defensive display from Ben Nicholas earned him the man of the match award.

LADY luck abandoned Dagenham United under-13s as they suffered a four-goal defeat at the hands of Prostar.
The home side performed admirably, hitting the bar twice and had a goal disallowed. The final score flattered the visitors.
The man of the match award was shared between Reece Bowden and James Hazell.

ALBERT CARLEY hit a stunning hat-trick as Valence United under-13s hit four past Senrab.
Carley's treble was supported by a brilliant goalkeeping display from his team-mate Sam Heard.
Remi Awosanya scored the fourth for Valence United.

JAYS under-12s were in fine form as they claimed an impressive 4-2 win away to UPR.

DAGENHAM PARK RANGERS under-11s earned a well-needed victory away to Cobra B.
After having to change the formation due to absent players, the boys rose to the occasion and remained focused throughout the game.
The hosts took the lead, before Rangers hit back with goals to take the points.
