Vicky victorious in Winter wonderland

A BUDDING martial artist from Dagenham claimed a host of medals at the Winter Kaizen Cup Finals.

Vicky Phillips, 21, (pictured right) was crowned champion in both the women's black belt Kata and Kumite and she also won silver in senior team kata.

Elsewhere, karate competitors from 4th to 1st kyu karateka, went head-to-head in the open division tournament.

Members of Kaizen Ryu Dojos in Bethnal Green, Bow, Dagenham and Ilford were there in full force winning 16 medals.
