Be sun-body in Ibiza

AFTER the success of the impromptu trip to Ibiza last year, Romford promoters Be Somebody's second visit is expanding at pace!

David Hiles and Ian Ridgley are both just 22, but after holding their Be Somebody events at Pacific Edge, Romford, on the first Saturday of the month for the last two years, the pair's operation is certainly on the up.

As well as teaming with Sunday Sessions promoter George D for his Sex In The City events, David and Ian have now spread their wings across the area at venues like Club 195 in Epping (next party Saturday, May 20) and the Warehouse, Edmonton (next event, June 17). They also host the funky room at Pacha,Victoria, bi-monthly for long-running west London promoters Dirty.

DJ guests have included Take That star Howard Donald, Kiss 100'S Streetboy, Warehouse favourites Soul Avengerz, plus PAs from Michael Grey's The Weekend and Robin S' Show Me Love.

Meanwhile, it's Be Somebody residents Mark James (David's brother) and Toby Butcher who set the scene each time, and who David and Ian work with for the Escape 2 Ibiza events.

The four will be hosting an all-day session on Bank Holiday Sunday at Edwards in Romford town centre to promote Escape 2 Ibiza 2006, which takes place from July 19 - 26.

Last year's trip was spur-of-the-moment and their first visit to the island. Some of their regulars found out and joined them, so they quickly tied up DJ sets and parties at bars in the San Antonio area.
