Two men armed with baseball bats robbed a builder’s merchant store in Barking.
The frightening robbery took place at Selco in Hertford road, at 6am on Wednesday.
It is believed the suspects lay in wait for the store to open and once inside they threatened store staff with baseball bats and demanded money.
The men fled the scene via a footbridge in the direction of East Ham. No staff were injured.

Police are looking for a man who robbed and assaulted a woman at knife point in Dagenham.
