More sporting fixtures postponed

Hornchurch’s Ryman Premier Division clash at Carshalton tomorrow has just been postponed.
Title-chasing Urchins will now be hoping for a quick thaw to enable them to host Margate at Bridge Avenue on Tuesday.
Romford’s Ryman Division One North derby at Brentwood has also been postponed.
The Brentwood Arena pitch is frozen, following overnight snow and freezing temperatures, and a new date will be announced shortly.
Romford & Gidea Park have also been forced to cancel their RFU Intermediate Cup tie with Aylesford at Crow Lane.
Also Dagenham & Redbridge’s League Two clash has also falling foul to a frozen pitch, as has the Ryman One North games involving Redbridge and Ilford.
Barking’s National One clash at Birmingham & Solihull has been called off due to a frozen pitch.
The Damson Park club failed to pass an inspection this afternoon, and though no new date has been announced of yet, it is expected to take place on February 25, one of the reserve weeks for National level rugby.

HOCKEY
Romford and Upminster Hockey Clubs have announced that all fixtures and training sessions planned for this weekend have been cancelled due to the weather.
Havering have yet to make an announcement on their hopes for play.
The East league have decided to extend the 2011-12 season to the weekend of 14th and 15th April.
They are asking all clubs to abide by the following conditions:-
Any teams with games that were originally scheduled to be played before Christmas and have not arranged the date of the new game must have a re-arranged date to play the game agreed by Monday 20th February and these games must be played by the 11th March. Clubs who have games from before Christmas that already have dates arranged are exempt from this condition.
Any teams with games that were originally scheduled to be played from 14th January to up to and including 4th February must have a re-arranged date to play the game agreed by Monday 27th February and played by 9th April.
This means we will have some leeway to allow us to re-arrange games if/when games are cancelled this weekend.
We are aware that this means that some games will have be played on Sundays and, if clubs and Umpiring Pool Organisers agree, allow them freedom to play games over the Easter weekend. If clubs and Umpiring Pool Organisers agree games may also be played midweek.
Home clubs are reminded that when they are re-arranging their fixtures they must actually speak to their opposition and have proof of confirmation of the fixture and we remind away clubs that you should not unreasonably reject dates provided.
Clubs are reminded that details of re-arranged fixtures must be posted on the venues/times page of the league website and the appropriate Umpiring Pool Organisers and League Managers should be notified.
