Former Scrubs’ star Zach Braff and Torchwood actress Eve Myles will take to the West End stage next week.

Written by Braff, who is making his UK stage debut, All New People will open at the Duke of York’s Theatre on February 22.
The contemporary comedy follows Charlie (Braff) as he hits rock bottom on his 35th birthday. His perfect escape to a Long Beach Island apartment is interrupted by a group of people, including a hired beauty, a fireman and an eccentric British real estate agent.
Myles, who plays Emma, is best known for her role as Gwen in Torchwood, the Doctor Who spinoff. She said: “I’m delighted to have been cast as the character of Emma in such a well anticipated and funny play.
“Having concentrated on TV work recently I’m excited to be returning to the stage and I’m very much looking forward to working with Zach and Peter.”
Also starring in the play is Susannah Fielding, who made her name on stage as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.
She said; “I am very excited to be appearing on the West End stage in All New People.
“With such a witty script and some fabulous lines, I am really looking forward to getting my teeth into playing the role of Kim.”
Braff is best-known for the television comedy Scrubs, and is a three-time Golden Globe nominee and Grammy Award winner. He also wrote, directed and starred in the film Garden State.
All New People is directed by Peter DuBois.
The play is at the Duke of York’s until April 28. Visit www.allnewpeople.co.uk or call the box office on 0844 871 7623.
A PLAY telling the story of women’s fight for equal pay will be performed at the Ford Dagenham plant today.
